New Directing Project + ‘Rocketman’ Trailer

Bryce Dallas Howard is proving that she is indeed on the path of directing! As previously announced, Bryce is attached to the adaptation of Matthew Quick’s novel “Sorta Like a Rock Star,” for Netflix. It was announced today that Bryce will be directing one episode of the upcoming live-action series, “Star Wars:The Mandalorian”. This 8 episode series will be featured in the lineup for Disney’s new streaming service, set for 2019.

October 4, 2018‘Star Wars’ TV Show Books Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard as Directors

Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, Deborah Chow and Dave Filoni are among the helmers that will direct The Mandalorian, the first Star Wars live-action series.

The eight-episode show is bowing on Disney’s streaming service in 2019 with Jon Favreau exec producing along with Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson and Filoni.

Lucasfilm has been mum on details so far but earlier this week issued the following synopsis: “After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.”

RUMOR: Bryce Dallas Howard To Have Role In ‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian’ TV Series

That’s right, Taika Waititi and Bryce Dallas Howard will not only direct episodes of the show but also are rumored to have roles in the show too. Bryce’s role is unknown however the rumor with Taika’s character is that he will voice a droid in the series.
