A new behind the scenes mini feature of Bryce’s upcoming movie, Rocketman, was released yesterday. They also released a new poster and a few new stills. Up until now, Bryce’s look in this film has been a total mystery. While she still doesn’t appear in any of the trailer, stills, or posters… she does make a very quick appearance in the newly released behind the scenes featurette. We get a quick 1 second shot of her in a montage at the very end.

Rocketman is a biopic depicting the life and career of Elton John. Bryce plays Elton’s mom. We now know that she will be a brunette in the film and rumor has it that this will be a time piece, as in, this film covers a wide span of time. We’re guessing that hair and makeup will be used to transform Bryce and properly age her throughout the film. This is something we haven’t seen before from her and I’m sure it also gave Bryce a new range of emotions to explore.

While we still have little information on how much she will be in the film, we do know she filmed for about a month in London over the summer in 2018. A month is a good chuck of filming time, so there is probably much more to come! As always, we’re still really excited to support Bryce in this new film and will be sharing any new information as it surfaces.

Rocketman will be released in the US on May 31, 2019.

We’ve uploaded 3 caps from the video which can be found in our gallery. They will be updated if better quality pops up!

Below is an older interview of Bryce talking about the project.

September 18, 2018Bryce Dallas Howard on Life After ‘Jurassic World’ & Singing in the Elton John Biopic ‘Rocketman’

Q: I’m a big music fan, so I’m also very excited about Rocketman, about the life of Elton John.

HOWARD: Thank you! I loved getting to work on that.

Q: What was it about that project that appealed to you?

HOWARD: First and foremost, the fact that Elton is involved and his husband, David Furnish, is everything. I loved getting to learn about him, and to immerse myself in his world and his music. It’s a classic musical. It’s so, so fun and transportive and wild. I’m just thrilled to be a part of it. It’s really exciting. Five minutes into the read-through, I turned to Dexter Fletcher, the director, and I went, “This is going to work!”

Q: Are you singing in the film?

HOWARD: Yeah. Not a ton, but yeah.

Q: That seems like it would be so scary, but fun, at the same time.

HOWARD: Oh, it’s so fun! It’s incredibly fun!
